SR-CT SYSTEM. SYSTEM CLEANING AND DISINFECTION DESCALING COOLING TOWER.

In cooling tower circuits, there is a high concentration of different types of salts (calcium carbonate and magnesium), produced by the evaporation of water, which causes considerable economic costs for maintenance of the tower, and overspending water treatment chemicals and electricity. All these factors, taken together, reduce the thermal efficiency of the tower. In addition, the tower absorbs external pollutants, such as (airborne dust, pollution, etc. ..) that settle to the bottom of the tower and especially in the filling.

.

SR-CT. The Solution.

The SR-CT system, perform an smart, clean, economical and environmentally friendly, which means, ultimately, saving water, energy and maintenance costs, optimizing results with minimal investment.

OBJETIVES

The aim of the SR-CT system is as follows:

  1. Establish a reliable and continuous process, in terms of water quality.
  2. Filter dust, pollution, sediment and sludge-absorbing, and are formed inside the tower through the filters of silica sand and granulated volcanic rock.
  3. Water disinfection and prevention of biological growth continues.
  4. Continuous operation and maintenance cost savings.

Advantages:

  1. Prevents calcium from depositing in the tower and system components.
  2. Kills microorganisms and prevents bacterial growth.
  3. Operation at a pH greater than eight, which inhibits the corrosion of system components.
  4. Increased water quality and considerable savings of water drainage.
  5. Economic savings:
    1. Considerable savings of water, through the recovery of drainage water.
    2. Considerable savings in chemicals used in the tower.
    3. Electricity savings by reducing the hours of operation of the tower.
    4. High quality water without damaging the environment.
    5. Savings in maintenance.

¿HOW IT WORKS?

SR-CT, is based on a dual-purpose technology. Contains a blend of two technologies:

Controled electrolytic technology:

The water is guided through a pump at SRS. This electrolytic process increases the pH of the water to a more alkaline level, stopping the corrosion process. Part of this reaction, produces an amount of free chlorine ions which helps the bacteriological disinfection process. It should be noted that although this system is not designed to treat legionella, produces a certain amount of chlorine to combat these bacteria. The system comes with an automatic valve for additional chemical injection for the treatment of legionella.

The increase in pH causes the concentration of sediments in the tank walls electrolyte system. It uses a pair of electrodes, whose current level is 5 Amp DC, which attract the tank walls, the particles of magnesium, calcium and magnesium oxide. Every 4 hours, the polarity is reversed, resulting in these sediments fall to the bottom of the tank. Through a valve "venturi" are extracted from the drain, using for them a minimum amount of water.

Sand filter and granular volcanic stone:

At the end of the electrolytic process, water is conducted from the electrolytic process tank to  the tank filters. Here is filtered dust, pollution, sediment and sludge which absorbs, and are formed in the interior of the tower, especially at the bottom and fill.

The advantages of implementing SR-CT system is a relatively simple solution, keeping the cooling tower, running in good condition, greatly reducing the use of chemicals.
